Garage - Bucks & Plates

Sill Plates keep the bales up off the concrete - since concrete always contains some water, the bales would eventually rot if we left them in contact with the concrete.  

Door bucks and window bucks, on the other hand, are no different than those used in modern construction.

Window buck - we really don't need a window in the garage, but it was free and we wanted the practice for the house.
