House - Top Plate

With the I-beams in place, the next step is to attach a top plate - this is what we will eventually nail our trusses to. We used a ramset to attach the 2x6 to the I-beam. It was a crappy, rainy day, but otherwise it went well.

We both tried using the ramset - it was fussy and unforgiving if you didn't aim it just right! In the end, Mark did most of nailing, while I usually passed up lumber, nails, charges and took the occasional photo.
